A man charged with murdering and dismembering an eight-year-old Jewish boy has pleaded not guilty.
Levi Aron underwent a psychiatric assessment after he was charged with the shocking murder of Leiby Kletzky last month.
But he was declared competent to stand trial and has now pleaded not guilty in a Brooklyn court.
Police found Leiby's body parts in two locations in the Boro Park area, at Aron's home and hidden in a suitcase in a rubbish bin.
The murder sent shockwaves around the Brooklyn Charedi community, who had arranged a large-scale search party before the body was found.
Leiby disappeared after leaving a summer day camp a few roads from his house, but police were able to use CCTV footage to retrace his steps and find Aron.
