Israeli Eurovision contestant and pop sensation Noa Kirel is set to become just the second Israeli in history to headline a show at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden.
Kirel, 22, has been confirmed to perform at the 20,000-seat arena in June next year. She will be the second Israeli to do so, after Orthodox singer Ishay Ribo.
Ribo announced his show earlier this year saying in a Facebook post:
According to Israeli media reports, Kirel’s team has paid a deposit to hold the venue for a show on June 30, 2024.
“It’s time to give an international career a real shot, Noa and her team believe they can make this a success,” Ynet cited a source as saying.
Kirel came third in this year's Eurovision song contest in Liverpool with 362 points, losing narrowly to Sweden.
She also won the title of "Fan Favourite" in a poll on the official Eurovision TikTok account.
Kirel, a former IDF soldier, has been a household name in Israel since the release of her first single in 2015 when she was just 15 years old.
