The former Party of Five star Jennifer Love Hewitt is to star as a Jewish woman who meets a mystery man at a Jewish dating event in a new film.
The actress, 32, will play one of the lead roles in the big screen adaptation of the long-running play Jewtopia.
Her character falls for a man posing as a Jewish doctor – but who is actually a non-Jewish plumber. The 2003 play also follows the fortunes of a Jewish man looking for a non-Jewish girlfriend.
The actress has worked on a number of film and television projects, including both I Know What You Did Last Summer films and the series Ghost Whisperer.
