An Israeli humanitarian aid organisation is to send a team to help victims of violence in the Ivory Coast.

Bitter fighting over the results of November's presidential election in the cocoa-rich African country has left more than one million people displaced from their homes.

Around 150,000 people have escaped across the border into refugee camps in Liberia.

Relief organisation IsraAID announced today that it would dispatch a medical group to help those fleeing the violence and provide them with vital medical care in advance of the rainy season.
