Iman Pahlavi, the daughter of Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, wed Bradley Sherman surrounded by royal family members
June 9, 2025 11:34Iman Pahlavi, the New York-based granddaughter of Iran’s last monarch Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, married Jewish American businessman Bradley Sherman in Paris over the weekend.
Nearly a month after the couple officially tied the knot in a casual New York City courthouse ceremony, the princess and her partner of over four years celebrated their marriage with a formal wedding in Paris, attended by several prominent Iranian figures including members of the royal family.
Pahlavi, 31, announced her engagement to Sherman in August 2023, though the pair were first introduced through friends in 2017.
Sherman, head of partnerships at commercial drone delivery company Matternet, according to his LinkedIn, reportedly comes from a Jewish family.
Social media clips from the couple's nuptials show Pahlavi and Sherman being lifted on chairs during the hora dance, a traditional part of Jewish weddings.
The daughter of Reza Pahlavi, exiled Crown Prince of Iran, and his wife Yasmine, the newlywed princess and her sisters were born and raised in the US since the family was ousted from power in 1979 during the Iranian Revolution.
Pahlavi currently works for American Express in New York City, according to her LinkedIn.
Pictures from the lavish summer wedding, for which Pahlavi wore a lacy white gown from Elie Saab, began to emerge on social media on Sunday, showing royal family members including grandmother and matriarch Farah Pahlavi, the widow of former Shah Mohammad Reza, and sisters Noor, 32, and Farah, 21.
Numerous figures on social media wrote well wishes for the couple, especially in support of their interfaith marriage and its implications for the future of Iran.
Iranian Jewish blogger Nioh Berg wrote of the news: “Congratulations from the entire nation of Iran on the wedding day of Princess Iman Pahlavi and Brad Sherman! We all wish you health and happiness, and may we soon see our entire Royal Family back in Iran alongside their countrymen. If 1979 never happened, this would have been a state event with invitees from all over the world, similar to Royal weddings in other monarchies.”
