Oscar winner and Glee guest star Gwyneth Paltrow has released her first cookbook.

The book is a collection of the recipes of her late father, Jewish film producer Bruce Paltrow.

Titled "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness," it combines recipes for healthy, macrobiotic dishes with essays and lifestyle tips similar to those on Ms Paltrow's diet website, Goop.

In the book the actress describes the influence her father had on her cooking. She wrote: "I can still hear him over my shoulder, heckling me, telling me to be careful with my knife, moaning with pleasure over a bite of something in the way only a Jew from Long Island can, his shoulders doing most of the talking."
