The poll came in the wake of a series of posts about the ‘Anne Frank’ Halloween costume in which readers were invited to reply with their ‘thoughts.’
The backlash was immediate and severe. Within an hour the post was taken town and a pair of remorseful tweets from Scaramucci’s general factotum Lance Leifer were posted accepting responsibility for the error.
The first read "The intent of the poll was to highlight ignorance of the basic facts of the Holocaust. I take full responsibility for it."
When asked by The Hill’s Taylor Lorenz exactly what form The Scaramucci Post would take he said “We have absolutely no idea what the Scaramucci Post is, and neither do you, but we launched it today and we launched with great fanfare, and so we’ll have to see how the whole thing unfolds.”
