Bernie Sanders has endorsed his former rival, Hillary Clinton, in her campaign to become US president.
The Jewish Democrat and former presidential candidate announced his support for Mrs Clinton as they appeared together at a campaign event in New Hampshire.
"She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States," he said.
"This campaign is about the needs of the American people and addressing the very serious crises that we face. And there is no doubt in my mind that, as we head into November, Hillary Clinton is far and away the best candidate to do that."
In February, Mr Sanders made history in New Hampshire as he became the first Jewish-American to win a presidential primary , gaining 59.9 per cent of the votes to Mrs Clinton’s 38.5 per cent.
