Men are expected to be the primary breadwinners, wives want to be younger than their husbands and around 25 per cent of people would consider marrying a partner who had cheated on them in their relationship, according to a survey co-led by top Jewish dating website, JDate.
The statistics were taken from a survey of 2,600 men and women, aged 18 to 59, in the United States.
The survey found that two-thirds of men would prefer to date someone younger than them, and 83 per cent of women would rather date someone older than them.
Thirty-nine per of women also felt that the man should be the primary bread-winner.
