American neo-Nazi groups have reportedly raised bail for a Georgia man who was arrested for an alleged assault while dressed as an SS officer for Halloween.
Kenneth Leland Morgan is accused of assaulting 23-year-old student Grace Lang in Athens, Georgia, during an altercation outside a local bar last week.
Morgan was reportedly denied entry to the bar due to his attire – a black SS uniform complete with red swastika armband. Footage circulating on social media allegedly showed him hitting Lang in the face with a glass jug as she attempted to rip off his armband.
Lang told a student magazine, the Red and Black: “His blatant attempt to instill fear and create outrage in the community was what sparked the issue.
"I grabbed the armband, not him, to remove a hate symbol. The bar we were at doesn’t even have glass pitchers, and I have no clue where he brought it from.
"I didn’t see it in his hand, but he was clearly ready to use it against anyone.”
She is reported to have suffered a broken nose and a facial laceration requiring four stitches.
Morgan was later detained by police. Since his arrest white supremacist Paul Miller, known by his social media nickname GypsyCrusader, who has advocated for a “race-based civil war” per the US Department of Justice, has claimed credit for raising the money to pay his bail bond.
Miller, who is of Romani and Mexican descent, has previously called for “n****s, Jews and communists” to “face the f***ing wall” and been pictured making a Nazi salute.
He claimed online to have raised the money in collaboration with an X user who goes by the name @GasChambers.
A crowdfunding campaign online has raised more than $5,000, with listed donors including “Joseph Goebbels” and “H3eil Hitler”.
