The police in Somerset have said they are reviewing video evidence following controversial comments made by a member rap punk duo Bob Vylan at Glastonbury on Saturday.

Bobby Vylan (who fronts the band, with Bobbie Vylan on drums), led chants of “Free Palestine” and “Death to the IDF”, during his performance on the West Holts Stage yesterday afternoon.

The BBC has received a torrent of criticism for livestreaming the whole performance on BBC iPlayer, with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy demanding “an urgent explanation” from BBC director-general Tim Davie into “what due diligence it carried out ahead of the Bob Vylan performance”.

A BBC spokesperson said some of the comments were "deeply offensive", adding it had issued a warning on screen about "very strong and discriminatory language".
