A former Yavneh pupil – and JC alumnus – who will be trying his luck in the boardroom on the forthcoming series of The Apprentice has revealed his game plan to secure £250,000 investment from business mogul Lord Alan Sugar: To be a “decent bloke”.

Lawrence Rosenberg, from Watford, attended Yavneh College before studying politics at the University of Manchester where he was president of the Jewish Society.

The public relations consultant, who set up his own firm last year, worked at The JC for a brief spell in 2021, helping to manage online events for this newspaper during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Announcing his participation in the BBC One programme – which will mark its 20th year when it returns to screens later this month – Rosenberg, 27, said he is “still pinching himself” after being selected to take part in the competition.
