A London music venue has said it was “appalled” by the use of “antisemitic imagery” by Scottish rock band Primal Scream during a recent gig.

Footage taken during the band’s show at the Camden Roundhouse on December 8 and shared on YouTube showed the repeated use of the symbol during a performance of their controversial hit Swastika Eyes.

The song, released in 1999, was written as a critique of US foreign policy and “scabs, police and government thieves”.

However, during the Camden show, the band stood in front of a large projector screen, which displayed a number of images of prominent Israeli figures while they performed the number.
