The organisation appeared to suggest an equivalence between supporting the State of Israel and such prejudices as ‘bigotry’, ‘racism’ and ‘misogyny’

A Jewish LGBT+ group has said it is "dismayed" by London Trans+ Pride (LT+P)’s decision to ban Zionists from its march this weekend.
The event, which is set to take place in Marylebone on Saturday, posted a notice on its Instagram page yesterday, saying: "London Trans+ Pride is not the place for ableism, classism, bigotry, body-shaming, harassment, misogyny, racism, religious discrimination, sexism, whorephobia, xenophobia, Zionism."
The notice clearly states that Zionists are not welcome (Image: London Trans Pride, Instagram)[Missing Credit]
And, on the groups website it states: "We stand in solidarity and in a joint struggle with people of all marginalised communities against political oppression, erasure, systemic inequality, and the ever-present grip of fascism that seeks to deny us all the same human rights.
"We believe that Trans+ rights are human rights. We believe that none of us can be free until we are all free.
"We believe that pride is a protest. We believe in Love + Rage."
However, the prohibition was immediately met with backlash from the Jewish LGBT+ community
A Jewish pride group, Hineni Project UK, said: "We are dismayed by [London Trans+ Pride's] exclusion of Zionists. Zionism for most LGBTQ+ Jews is not ideology – it's identity, survival and belonging.
"Over 90 per cent of British Jews identify as Zionist. To say Zionism has no place at Pride is to say LGBTQ+ Jews don't either.
"Pride must include all marginalised people – queer Palestinians, Israelis and Jews. Our liberation is intertwined. There is no queer liberation without Jewish liberation.
"We are open to dialogue and education, so we can built mutual understanding around what Zionism truly means."
LT+P has subsequently deleted the post and issued a statement, saying: "Jewish people are, of course, welcome at LT+P. We stand firmly against all forms of antisemitism.
"As an organisation we unequivocally stand with Palestine and wholly condemn the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza and Zionist violence across the region.
"These positions are not contradictory, if anything they are inherently aligned.
"LT+P is a space of care, solidarity and liberation for all oppressed people."
