Police today arrested a man on suspicion of terror offences in relation to the Heaton Park Synagogue attack.
Greater Manchester Police said that the man, who had flown in to Manchester Airport, was apprehended on suspicion of commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.
The man is the seventh person to be arrested in relation to the October 2 terrorist attack in Manchester, carried out by Jihad Al Shamie, which resulted in the deaths of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz as well as leaving several others seriously injured.
Five of the seven have been released without charge while one remains on bail.
The families of Cravitz and Daulby have been informed of the latest arrest, Assistant Chief Constable Rob Potts of Counter Terrorism Policing North West told the BBC.
He said: "Our investigation is continuing, and I would once again appeal for anyone with information that they think could assist our enquiries to please come forward.
"We are also still seeking to identify and speak to anyone who was present at the time of the incident or the immediate aftermath so that we can ensure they have access to all the welfare support options that are available to witnesses."
