The former MMA fighter suggested that fewer than six million Jews were killed by the Nazis following his own podcast interview with neo-Nazi influencer Nick Fuentes

Jake Shields, a former MMA fighter, has openly denied the Holocaust during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s talk show.
In a video published to Morgan’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, he said to Shields, “You’re questioning the number of people who died in the Holocaust”. Shields responded, “Yeah”.
Shields argued that “it doesn’t match up with the furnaces”, stating that “they claim they were burning bodies in ten minutes – it takes 90 minutes to burn a body now”.
The “ten-minute” argument is prominent among Holocaust deniers and centres on the claim that, in order for six million Jews to have been killed in extermination camps within the duration of the genocide, one body would have had to be cremated every 10 minutes.
However, the conspiracy theory does not take account of the fact that the Nazis often burned multiple bodies simultaneously and that not all of the casualties of the Holocaust were killed in gas chambers and then cremated. Per Yad Vashem, extermination camps account for the deaths of about 2.7 million people over the course of the Holocaust, with millions more killed in mass shootings and through deliberate starvation and mistreatment.
Appearing alongside Shields on the programme, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach responded, “You don’t give an s*** about six million Jews being killed,” to which Shields replied: “I don’t f***ing know how many people were killed.”
Since the clip was released, Shields has commented “it wasn’t hasn’t six million” under a post on X from Morgan.
Also on the show, conservative commentator Ben Ferguson said: “You believe that you’re changing people’s minds by implying that one of the worst moments in the world’s history, the extermination of Jews, is something that we should downplay.
"Acting as if that is something that didn’t actually take place… is antisemitism.”
The topic of the episode was Nick Fuentes, another open Holocaust denier, who Morgan cited as saying “Hitler was really f***ing cool” and as comparing the Holocaust to the baking of six million cookies.
Shields said that Fuentes “jokes a lot” to appeal to his “Generation Z” audience, claiming “you guys don’t understand”.
It comes after Morgan faced a backlash last year after airing an interview with former poker player Dan Bilzerian, including from Jewish employees of News UK, the parent company of TalkTV – the channel on which Morgan’s show was broadcast at the time.
Bilzerian has a history of making antisemitic remarks, including blaming “the Jews” for the assassination of John F Kennedy and the Holodomor famine in the Soviet Union.
He has also consistently denied the Holocaust, saying on Morgan’s show that he would “bet [his] entire net worth” that fewer than six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust.
In WhatsApp messages seen by the JC, members of the News UK Jewish Network (a company-recognised group for Jewish staff) voiced their concerns that the show gave a platform to “extreme antisemitism”.
One employee wrote: “[It] feels so dangerous and shameful for part of the business to be chasing clicks like this from the most horrendous antisemitism and Holocaust denial.
"And to not have a Holocaust expert on at the same time to challenge him is unforgivable.”
Piers Morgan Uncensored has previously held interviews with pro-Israel guests and invited pro-Israel speakers on to challenge other guests.
Morgan has now left News UK to take ownership of the show himself after the contract he signed in 2021 expired, instead entering into a four-year revenue sharing agreement with his former employer.
