Ed Vaizey, Britain's Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, is to lead a high-powered business delegation to Israel and the Palestinian Territories next week.
Representatives from some of the UK's top creative and media companies including BBC Worldwide, Ogilvy, Samsung and Albion will accompany him.
Mr Vaizey said: "The UK's creative industries are a great strength and an important part of our economy. We have the largest independent TV production sector in the world and we are the second largest music exporter in the world.
"The UK produces the music, films and other content the world wants, while Israel excels in developing the technology people use to access this content.
"Our strengths complement each other and there is enormous potential for collaboration."
Apart from meetings with Israel's Culture and Sports Minister and leading business people such as the head of Google Israel, the delegation will visit some of Israel's most successful start-up companies such as The Gifts Project and LabPixies.
The minister's trip has been jointly arranged by the UK-Israel Technologies Hub, the Israel Embassy in London, the British Council, UK Israel Business and the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute.
Chancellor George Osborne visited Israel four months ago to launch the Technologies Hub, based in the British embassy.
