Labour activist leading online attacks on Luciana Berger has links to neo-Nazi website

Revealed: Twitter account shares material from 'the anti-Zionist League'

One of the Labour activists leading the online attacks on Jewish Labour MP Luciana Berger has links to a neo-Nazi website called the “Anti-Zionist League”, the JC has learned.

Ms Berger faced two motions of no confidence from her local Liverpool Wavertree party last week for criticising Mr Corbyn over antisemitism, caused outrage and anger among party supporters. They were later withdrawn.

Using the hashtag #Murdochs-Democracy, the @evertonfc2 Twitter account repeatedly attacks Ms Berger, saying she is "not trusted by her CLP", and denounces veteran Jewish MP Dame Margaret Hodge while also sharing anti-Israel propaganda and material from antisemitic website RedressOnline.

The same @evertonfc2 account, which has 18,000 followers, could be found retweeting a vicious antisemitic attack on Ms Berger found on the neo-Nazi website Anti-Zionist League.

A profile of Ms Berger on Anti-Zionist League uses openly false and fascistic language, claiming she is: “A member of the NHS Confederation, Berger was parachuted into the 2010 elections to sure up the Liverpool Care Pathway program.

“The pathways program was a determined effort by their Jewish tribe to exterminate the elder members of our native (Caucasian) British population.”

The JC revealed earlier this week how the chair of Wavertree Labour Party, Dr Alex Scott-Samuel, had promoted Rothschild conspiracy theories on an online current affairs show broadcast by conspiracy theorist David Icke.

He went on the Richie Allen show in February 2017 - which was broadcast on Mr Icke's website at the time - and said on the programme: “The Rothschild family are behind a lot of the neo-liberal influence in the UK and the US. You only have to google them to look at this."

It was also revealed that an activist behind the other no-confidence motion, Kenneth Campbell, had previously called Ms Berger a “disruptive Zionist” and written in a Facebook post that Israel “helps Isis”.
