JW3 tickets go on sale

articlemain

Tickets for events at JW3, London’s £50 million Jewish community centre, went on sale on its website this week.

A launch season magazine and events programme has also been produced, featuring details of more than 1,300 events, activities, classes and courses at the Finchley Road, north-west London venue.

JW3 opens to the public on September 29 with two days of sample sessions and entertainment.

The Big Bang evening on October 5 will feature science and magic demonstrations in a display intended to reflect the act of creation.

Two heavyweights of British theatre — Young Vic director Kevin Spacey, and the National Theatre’s Sir Nicholas Hytner – are due to be among the first high-profile speakers.

In the magazine, chief executive Raymond Simonson predicts the centre will be “at the heart of a vibrant, unified, diverse community, inspired by and engaged in Jewish arts, culture, learning and life”.

JW3 memberships offer discounts on tickets and food as well as 10 free guest tickets and free cinema tickets. The first 1,000 members will receive a one-third discount. Single membership costs £45 a year, with couples and families paying £75. There are also special rates for children and students.

Tickets can be bought at www.jw3.org.uk or by phone on 020 7433 8988.
