Toyota's Superbowl ad unites a rabbi, a priest, an imam and a Buddhist monk

The ad was made by Saatchi & Saatchi especially for the prestigious Superbowl ad slot

What do a rabbi, a priest, an imam and a Buddhist monk all have in common?

Well, in this funny new TV advertisement from Toyota – they all support the same (American) football team.

The ad opens with the rabbi, grabbing the keys to his Toyota as he takes off his Tallit and hurries out of his synagogue, picking up the priest, the imam and the monk in turn.

They reach their destination (slightly late, due to traffic) and deck themselves out in the blue and white colours of their football team – including a special blue and white kippah for the Rabbi.

Taking their seats inside the stadium, they’re told by the two nuns sitting next to them that their team is down.

They’re about to have a minor squabble over who’s at fault for their lateness, when their team scores and they all celebrate. The caption “We’re all one team” appears on screen, before emblems showing that Toyota is partner of the USA’s Olympic and Paralympic team.
