Theresa May has attacked Jeremy Corbyn's Labour over the party's antisemitism crisis in her party conference speech, asking: "Would Clement Attlee have told British Jews that they didn't know the meaning of antisemitism?"
Speaking on Wednesday as the event closed, the prime minister said Labour had become "the Jeremy Corbyn party", and said the party's struggle to overcome Jew-hate among its members showed "what Jeremy Corbyn has done".
"The Jeremy Corbyn party rejects the common values that once bridged the common divide. Would Clement Attlee have told British Jews that they didn't know the meaning of antisemitism?
"What has it comes to when British Jews discuss where they should go when Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister and when a leading MP says his party is institutionally racist?
"That is what Jeremy Corbyn has done to the Labour Party."
