Black Keys star likes chicken soup

articlemain

This year’s Reading Festival will be graced by one of America’s hottest rock acts, the Black Keys, whose guitarist Dan Auerbach (below) is the son of a Jewish antique dealer from Ohio.

Auerbach’s grandmother left the Continent for England before the Nazis killed most of her family. When she moved with her husband, an American airman, to the States, she was eventually reunited with a brother who had survived the camps. You can find his grandma’s recipe for matzah ball soup online.
