Police are looking for a man they want to question over alleged sexual offences involving two Jewish girls and a woman in Hackney and Haringey.
In the first incident, on Wednesday, January 20, a 15-year-old girl was approached by a man on Rostrevor Avenue who showed her pornography on his mobile.
The following month, a 12-year-old girl was walking on Linthorpe Road, N16 at around 7.00 in the evening on Tuesday, February 16 when a man exposed himself to her.
A couple of hours later on the same evening, a woman in her 20s who was pushing her child in a buggy along Kyverdale Road, N16, was accosted by a man who pushed her and touched her bottom before fleeing.
Police have confirmed that all three victims were Jewish.
“It is a line of enquiry that officers will be considering as their investigation progresses,” the Metropolitan Police said on Friday. “But at this stage, there was insufficient evidence to confirm a motive for the offences.
None experienced serious physical harm but were left incredibly shaken and upset, police said.
Owing to the timings, locations and the way the victims were approached, they are treating the incidents as linked.
Additional patrols are being conducted to reassure the community.
Detective Constable Patrick Godin, investigating, said: "We are doing everything we can to identify and apprehend the man responsible. I am asking local people to study the images and footage issued very carefully and contact us immediately if they have information that could help. Please work with us to help keep your communities safe.”
