Simon Brodkin is 'well good' for a laugh

Simon Brodkin, critically acclaimed as one of the UK's most exciting new character comedians, has unleashed his South London Geeza in Lee Nelson's Well Good Show on BBC3.

The first of six shows, written and performed by Mr Brodkin, aired last night (June 10).

It's hosted by Mr Brodkin's irrepressible south London character Lee "Nelsy" Nelson, assisted by his best mate "fat legend" Omelette.

The show features a host of Mr Brodkin's other comic creations, all played by himself.

Mr Brodkin, from north London, performed his first solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006. It sold out every night and won the Writer's Guild Award for Best Newcomer.

More recently he was a core cast member of Al Murray's ITV1 sketch show Al Murray's Multiple Disorder in 2009, and made regular contributions to BBC3's The Wall.

Mr Brodkin has also featured on Radio 2's Out to Lunch and BBC1's Absolutely Fabulous.
