Patrick Marber will be back in the theatre next week as rehearsals begin on his play, Don Juan in Soho.
The playwright will be directing this revival of his 2006 work at Wyndham's Theatre in London's West End.
David Tennant is taking the starring role in what is a reworking of Moliere's comedy about the legendary womaniser.
The production opens next month for a strictly limited 11-week run.
Marber, who scored a hit with his debut play, Dealer's Choice, in 1995, has won mulitple awards for this theatre, film and TV work.
He was nominated for an Oscar for his screenplay for the 2006 movie, Notes on a Scandal.
