A Muslim Metropolitan Policewoman praised for confronting anti-lockdown protesters last year is under investigation over claims that she has tweeted antisemitic and other offensive comments.

The Mail on Sunday has reported that the woman joined the force in 2016 - and that she had run a Twitter account under a different name since 2012, posting some 25,000 messages.

Most of the messages from the now deleted account were said to be mundane.  But according to the MoS, during the 2014 Gaza conflict, the constable allegedly wrote: “Dirty Zionist. Jahannam [hell] is awaiting.” Another read: “Israel have no limits. Scumbags. I can't wait for the day they get severely punished.”

Later that year, she is said to have tweeted: “Zionists have no hearts! They'll get what's coming to them subhanallah [glory be to God].”
