Manchester Uni anti-Israel protest

articlemain

Two CST security staff were reportedly injured in scuffles as Manchester University students protested against the intended visit of Israeli deputy ambassador Talya Lador-Fresher.

Ms Lador-Fresher was due to speak to the politics society of Manchester University Students Union. But after 300 protesters were expected to turn out, organised by another student society Action Palestine, the embassy cancelled her visit.

Protesters waved banners calling Ms Lador-Fresher a "war criminal" and a "murderer". They also chanted "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free", a chant commonly used to call for the destruction of Israel.
