A 28-year-old man from West Yorkshire has appeared in court after five incidents of assault on members of the Jewish community in Stamford Hill last month.
Abdullah Qureshi, from Dewsbury, was remanded in custody by Thames Magistrates Court on Saturday after his arrest earlier in the week.
He faces four counts of racially or religiously aggravated common assault, one count of racially or religiously aggravated wounding or grievous bodily harm and one count of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage.
The incidents took place on Wednesday August 18.
He is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on October 1.
