Lord Sugar has said that Britain “needs to get rid of” Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader.

The businessman and star of BBC’s The Apprentice accused Mr Corbyn and his “extreme left  people” of trying to suppress enterprise.

“The country needs to get rid of him,” he told ITV News, because he is “absolutely dangerous, totally, totally dangerous”.

But Lord Sugar- who resigned from the Labour party over its leftward shift three years ago - said he didn’t have the solution for removing the Labour leader and the party was powerless “in trying to get rid of him”.

Last week Lord Sugar deleted a tweet protesting at the Labour leader’s stance on antisemitism, which showed an image of Mr Corbyn in a car next to Adolf Hitler with the caption: “When you’re pictured at Nuremburg and claim you thought you were going to a car rally”.
