This year’s Limmud will feature politicians, rabbis, social activists, comedians and singers — giving attendees a choice of over 1,000 events across five days.
The festival, which will take place from December 24 in Birmingham, will feature talks and discussions on a range of issues within Judaism, including discussions on “Charedim and the Jewish future” and “The exclusion and inclusion of women in Jewish life”.
Moshiel Newman Daphna will discuss life as an Orthodox Jewish gay drag queen, while Noam Shalit will describe the five-year campaign to free his son Gilad, who was held hostage by Hamas.
Entertainment will come in the form of musical performances, sing-alongs, DJ sets and an Israeli dance party.
Anna Lawton, one of Limmud Festival chairs, said: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s programme, which includes over 1,000 thought-provoking sessions delivered by engaging presenters from across the UK and around the world.
She said the festival would be “a unique experience”.
