Labour Friends of Israel has spoken of the “abhorrence of many” at Jeremy Corbyn's membership of a Facebook group “where neo-Nazi material and Holocaust denial was widespread”.
In an open letter the LFI criticised the Labour leader for using the group to organise an event in parliament where extreme anti-Zionist and antisemitic speakers individuals spoke.
Written by Joan Ryan, chair of the LFI, the letter requests that Mr Corbyn issue “a sincere an honest apology for your membership of the group and an unequivocal statement that appalling views like those espoused… are unacceptable in the Labour Party.”
