Jewish actors, writers, producers and directors will make up a large proportion of this year’s nominees at this year’s Emmy awards, set to take place this Sunday.

Writers of Game of Thrones David Benioff and D. B. Weiss – both of whom are Jewish – are nominated for best directors of a drama series.

Michael Douglas and Eugene Levy are both nominated for best lead actor in a comedy series for their appearances in The Kominsky Method and Schitt’s Creek respectively. Alan Arkin is also nominated for best supporting actor for Schitt’s Creek.

Alex Borstein – best known as the voice of Lois in Family Guy – is up for best supporting actress for her role in Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a TV comedy drama about a Jewish woman. Sarah Silverman's sketch comedy series I Love You, America has also received a nomination.
