A Jewish man is reported to have been abused on a London bus that runs through Stamford Hill.

According to the Stamford Hill branch of the defence group Shomrim, a man shouted "Jews are all spies, will beat you up, what's wrong with all you lot?" and then made an obsene geture.

The verbal attack was said to have taken place against a "visibly Jewish man" on the upper deck of a 254 bus on Sunday.

Hackney Police commented on Twitter, "Shocking behaviour - it's not acceptable and won't be tolerated."
