Anglo-Jewish charities collectively enjoy an income of around £1 billion a year, according to the think-tank New Philanthropy Capital.
In a report published today, the organisation found that Jewish charities have a higher median income than other faith groups.
Jewish charities had a median income of £64,871, followed by Sikhs with £57,255 and Quakers with £52,813.
Overall, faith-based charities in England and Wales produced an annual income of £16.3 billion.
