Mr Lassman, who chose the team’s name, Team Summit, wore a hot dog costume in a bid to boost sales.
“There’s no ‘I’ in team: famous saying - but there’s five in individual brilliance,” he said on the show.
But the girls’ team, led by former hypnotherapist Sarah Dales, won after outselling the boys by £56.80.
Ms Dales told her team mates to wear short skirts, heels and make-up to boost sales, a tactic dismissed by Lord Sugar, at a press conference last week.
He told the JC: “I think the other girls said that was ridiculous, took no notice of it whatsoever. The other girls said ‘no, we’re here to do a job, to do some business’.”
Baroness Brady, his advisor on the show, added: “I think it’s a very old-fashioned attitude that you’ve got to wear short skirts and a lot of make up to get on in life.”
The next episode of The Apprentice airs tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One.
