Raymond Harrod has been appointed managing director of the JC.

Mr Harrod, who joined the paper in 1996, was previously operations director.

He said: “It is an honour to work at the UK’s number one Jewish newspaper. I look forward to the exciting challenges ahead, working with the exceptional JC team and Jewish communities around the world.

“These are exciting times in both digital and print and we will continue our journey to become the leading English language media brand serving Jewish audiences worldwide.”
