Yet another provocative statement by Sweden's Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom brought angry responses from Jerusalem this week.
On Tuesday, she said that there was a need for an investigation into "extrajudicial" killings of Palestinians by Israelis during the recent terror wave.
This was just one in a series of similar statements that have been described by the Israeli Foreign Ministry as "irresponsible and delirious".
Last month, in a parliamentary debate in Stockholm, she condemned the terror attacks but added that the Israeli response - around half of the attackers have been shot dead at the scene - was "disproportionate" and could be "extrajudicial executions". On Tuesday, she returned to the same theme, saying: "It is vital that there is a thorough, credible investigation into these deaths in order to clarify and bring about possible accountability."
The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem said that such statements were "giving support to terrorism".
Relations between Israel and Sweden have deteriorated since the Social Democrat Party came to power in 2014. One of its first decisions was to recognise a Palestinian state.
Ms Wallstrom has become the focus of the tension. Two months ago she appeared to link the terror attacks in Paris to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, although her office denied she had made the connection.
