The Czech Republic was the only country in Europe to reject the UN decision to upgrade Palestine to a non-member state.
Mr Netanyahu added that a two-state solution was the answer to peace and they should resolve issues via “direct talks of the two sides”.
"[Tension] will not be resolved through one-sided resolutions of the UN that ignore Israel's vital needs and undermine the basic foundations of peace," said the Israeli prime minister.
The countries that voted against the UN bid were the: US, Canada, Czechs, Panama, Nauru, Marshall Island, Micronesia and Israel.
