Violence on the border between Israel and Gaza has continued into a fourth day.

Since Friday, more than 160 rockets have been fired into Israel day and night by terrorist groups inside the Gaza Strip, including Islamic Jihad.

In retaliation for the attacks two Palestinian militants were killed on Monday morning as Israel's Air Force targeted terror cells operating in the area.

The escalation in hostilities has led to the deaths of at least 20 Palestinians, all but two of whom were said to be militants. Daily life for the one million people in southern Israel has come to a halt in the face of the sustained rocket fire, with schools closed indefinitely. Six Israelis have also been wounded, two seriously, and one of the rockets landed in a nursery school.
