Primal Scream calls Madonna a 'total prostitute' for performing in Israel

The frontman for the band Primal Scream has accused Madonna of being a “total prostitute” for performing at Eurovision.

Speaking to Kirsty Wark on Newsnight ahead of her performance, Bobby Gillespie said  “Primal Scream would never perform in Israel”.

Mr Gillespie added: “I think the whole thing is set up to normalise the State of Israel and its disgraceful treatment of the Palestinian people. By going to perform in Israel I think what you do is you normalise that. Madonna would do anything for money"

The frontman also said that Israel sits on “stolen land” and accused Madonna of performing there because she is desperate for money and publicity.
