Israel has become one of the world’s leading gaming markets, with the industry potentially generating up to £7.5 billion in annual revenue, according to a new report.
The industry report described Israel as one of the “Mediterranean corridors of gaming influence and innovation”, highlighting the country’s technological expertise.
More than 140 Israeli companies are currently involved in gaming or developing digital technologies applicable to the sector, employing around 15,000 people, the report reveals.
While Tel Aviv remains Israel’s main gaming hub, companies are increasingly establishing operations in Herzliya, Haifa and Jerusalem.
Israel’s relatively small domestic market has not prevented its gaming sector from becoming a global player, with companies typically developing products aimed at international audiences rather than the local market.

One of the country’s biggest successes has been Coin Master, the mobile game developed by Israeli company Moon Active, which has generated billions of dollars in revenue, according to the 2026 report by GamesBeat and Xsolla.

Another Israeli gaming company adding to the booming industry is SuperPlay, which was initially acquired by Playtika for £527 million, with additional payments potentially rising to £1.47 billion, if SuperPlay hits certain revenue targets.
SuperPlay makes games such as Dice Dreams, Domino Dreams and Disney Solitaire, and has a total 100 million downloads.
