Israel and India are preparing to sign a £2bn weapons deal ahead of a planned visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Holy Land later this year.
India is planning to buy 164 laser systems for its air force, specifically for its Sukhoi-30MKI and Jaguar planes, and 250 precision-guided bunker busting bombs, according to a report in the Times of India on Tuesday.
Additionally, negotiations have started on India's acquisition of 321 Spike anti-tank systems and 8,356 missiles.
"There have already been more than 20 meetings between the sides following disagreements over the price," said an Indian Defence Ministry official.
Alongside Russia and the United States, Israel is one of the largest arms suppliers to India, with annual sales worth over £680m.
"The defence co-operation for many years has been a central pillar of the relationship. The changing world, changing parameters, changing needs, are always something that is on the top of our agenda and always on our radar," said Israel's Ambassador to India, Daniel Carmon, in January.
