Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, the IDF's former advocate-general, was admitted to hospital over the weekend after a suspected suicide attempt.

Tomer-Yerushalmi has been under house arrest on Friday after admitting responsibility for the leak of a video purportedly showing soldiers at the Sde Teiman facility abusing a Palestinian detainee.

Hebrew media reported that Tomer-Yerushalmi was admitted to hospital on Sunday morning after apparently taking an overdose of medication.

She was conscious when medics arrived at her home and her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
