Explosions have been heard from near the Israel-Lebanon border.

Police spokesperson Luba Samri said that two rockets landed in open fields close to the north-west city of Nahariya, causing air raid sirens across northern Israel to go off.

However, the Israeli Defence Force said the rockets “fell outside of Israeli territory”.

The organisation also reported that “one rocket [was] intercepted between Acre and Nahariya,” stating that the projectile was “shot down by the Iron Dome missile defence system.”
