The IDF has claimed that the attack had been carried out by “Global Jihad terrorists,” but that it that constituted a “one-time event, not a general escalation.”
Eli Bean, director of Magen David Adom, reportedly told Army Radio: “There are no casualties. There are no indications or reports of anything hitting any populated area.”
Lebanon’s state-controlled news outlet said the projectiles were fired from the village of Housh.
The IDF warned that citizens in the area should stay in safe rooms, while the Jerusalem Post has reported that all flights into and out of the north have been suspended.
