People have been evacuated from their homes in the parts of the Ramot neighbourhood of Jerusalem as a huge forest fire, fanned by high winds, has moved towards the area.
Firefighters also evacuated homes in Mevasseret Zion, west of the city; and in Gilo in south-east Jerusalem.
Fire trucks and firefighting aircraft were sent to tackle the blaze approaching Ramot.
