Liora Argamani, mother of kidnapped 26-year-old Noa Argamani, is dying of brain cancer while her daughter remains a hostage in Gaza.

In a heart-wrenching video released on Wednesday, Liora, 61, pleads for Noa’s release so that she may see her only child again before it is too late.

“I don’t know how long I have left,” she said in the short video. “I wish for the chance to see my Noa, at home. I call upon President Biden and the Red Cross to bring back my Noa as soon as possible so that I get a chance to see her.”

Liora, who is originally from Wuhan, China, refers to her daughter in the video as “the beautiful girl who was kidnapped on October 7th”. Noa was abducted from the Supernova music festival on Oct. 7th along with her boyfriend Avi Natan, both of whom can be seen in a harrowing clip showing Noa being held by terrorists on a motorbike as she reaches out for Natan. Since the attack that day, a short clip circulated of Noa drinking from a water bottle in what is believed to be Gaza, but no other evidence of Noa or Natan’s whereabouts has been found.

86 hostages have been released from Gaza, with 161 remaining in captivity. Liora and Noa’s father Yakov have been desperately awaiting news of their only daughter’s conditions since her disappearance, and the family’s stress has been heightened by Liora’s stage 4 brain cancer.

As Yakov told the Mail on Sunday, “I'm going through the most difficult period of my life. Before October 7, I weighed 10 kilos more than I do now.

“The thoughts I have would rip you apart. And this is on top of my wife's poor state of health. It's hard to digest all of this.”

He explained that Noa looked after her mother whilst she was studying at university and was the one to organise “her mother's care, her doctors, her medicine and everything.” Since her abduction, Noa’s friends have pitched in to help around her parents’ home.

But Liora’s dying wish is simply to hug her daughter once more.

“Noa, I want to tell you if I don’t get to see you: please know that I love you very much,” she said in the video on Wednesday. “Please know we did everything we could to get you released. The whole world loves you.”
