"We are continuing to work."
The two countries have had generally good relations historically, but the rising prominence of the Movement for Socialism in Bolivian politics now means that this largely hinges on election results.
In 2014, then-President Evo Morales labelled Israel a "terrorist state" over its operations in Gaza.
The election of the Christian Democrats and renewal of relations could set the stage for an entry into the Isaac Accords - the agreements pioneered by Argentina's President Milei in the image of the Abraham Accords to secure diplomacy between Israel and South American states.
At a signing ceremony last month to formally launch the Accords, Sa’ar praised Milei for his “sincere, powerful, and moving” support for Israel and Judaism.
And, in his own speech, the Argentine leader pledged to rally more South American nations to the cause through the accords.
He said: “We will promote the Isaac Accords modelled on the Abraham Accords, which are bringing peace to the Middle East.
“The Isaac Accords seek to deepen ties between Israel and Latin America, developing national cooperation in strategic sectors and solidifying diplomatic links.
“Argentina will the pioneering country in the defence and promotion of these agreements, along with the United States."
"Today more than ever it is necessary for the free world to rise up together against the threats to freedom that seek to raise their heads,” he concluded.
