A Palestinian attacker has been shot and killed after an attempted stabbing in Jerusalem.
According to Israel Police the knife-wielding Palestinian ran towards a security guard who was protecting a family going through the Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City.
Officers saw the knife and shot him. No other injuries were reported.
The Palestinian news agency Ma’an has said that the attacker was a 14-year-old boy.
