Ian Austin has launched a furious attack on Jeremy Corbyn after MPs voted to remove him and Mike Gapes from the Foreign Affairs Select Committee.
The motion to remove the now independent MPs, who quit Labour last month, was put forward by the party, whose MPs were instructed to vote for the motion on a three-line whip, and passed by 199 votes to 134.
Mr Austin later tweeted: "The fact Labour abstain on votes to ban Hezbollah but impose a three line whip to vote against me tells you all you need to know about what has happened under Jeremy Corbyn."
Earlier, in a speech to the Commons, Mr Austin, whose father was a Holocaust survivor, said he had believed since 2015, that Mr Corbyn was "utterly unfit" to lead Labour and "completely unfit to be our country's Prime Minister."
Mr Austin also accused Mr Corbyn of plotting to boot him off the committee for standing up to racism.
Conservative MP were given a free vote on the motion.
A total of 17 Labour MPs rebelled and voted against their party's motion, while 64 Labour MPs, including Mr Corbyn, abstained.
Mr Austin later tweeted: "I'm very grateful to those MPs from all parties who voted to keep me on the committee and I don't think labour MPs will look back with pride on voting for Jeremy Corbyn's vindictive motion to kick me off because I stood up to racism."
Mr Austin and Mr Gapes will now be replaced by Labour MPs Conor McGinn and Catherine West.
A Labour spokesperson said: "It's only right the Labour Party fills its allocation [of committee places]."
Mr Gapes said the decision was "a sad day for the independence of select committees".
The Labour spokesperson added: "Select committee and delegation places are allocated on the basis of the size of parties at the general election.
"It's only right that the Labour Party fills its allocation - just as every other party does - and gives a voice to Labour voters in Parliament."
Former Labour MP Chris Leslie, who is also now a member of the Independent Group, will soon face a similar motion to remove him from the International Trade Select Committee.
A Labour spokesperson said there were "no plans" to remove fellow Independent Group MP Luciana Berger from the Health and Social Care Committee.
But Ms Berger, who is Jewish, tweeted this was only because no one wanted to take her place when the party advertised the vacancy to Labour MPs, the day before Ms Berger gave birth to her son.
She called it "broken politics".
