articlemain

Wizo UK sent £1.7 million to Israel in the the past year in support of 100 projects aiding vulnerable families and children, the organisation reported to its annual general meeting.

New Board of Deputies chief executive Gillian Merron was guest speaker at the event, discussing her background and the moments which shaped her career.

Having visited a number of Wizo projects in Israel, she told delegates that she was impressed with the quality and scope of Wizo’s activities: “The work you do is simply amazing, in particular working with individuals who would otherwise have been written off.”

“She added: It’s a great example that Wizo can showcase not just in Israel but to the rest of the world.”
